Asbestos Action Pre-Christmas Party

Thanks to funding received from Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action. Asbestos Action invited around 70 clients, including families who have lost loved ones to a Pre-Christmas Event.

The Event was held at The Malmaison in Dundee where everyone enjoyed refreshments as well as a three course Christmas Dinner. This was followed by a raffle, bingo games and dancing to a live, local band. The feedback from those who attended was full of positivity, everyone commented on how much they had enjoyed having the opportunity to meet lots of new people while participating in social activities that many had avoided due to their diagnosis. Several stated that coming to the event has given them confidence to do more.

One gentleman described his experience in one sentence

"I feel alive again!!".

Many have asked if we can do the same again in 2026, we certainly hope so!
