Changes to the team
Those who have moved on
John Fearn started with Asbestos Action in 2012 and took up the reigns as Manager from 2014 until July this year, John chose to retire very quietly with no fuss and we wish him a very happy, healthy and fulfilled retirement.
Liz Stevens who supported our clients in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and Pete Yeoman who helped with the administration of non-malignant cases also left this year.
Graham Lindsay, Director and Secretary at Asbestos Action who was appointed in 2010 over 12 years ago has stepped down as a Director of Asbestos Action and we would like to thank him for his tremendous input over the last 12 years.
I would like to thank all of the above for their dedication and commitment to Asbestos Action.
Going forward
General Manager
I accepted the role of General Manager having been working at Asbestos Action for over 8 years supporting those diagnosed with Mesothelioma and Lung Cancer. I feel proud and privileged to take on this new challenge and I look forward to building on the excellent foundations we already have in place.
Administrator
I am delighted to introduce Nicki Stewart, our new Administrator who recently started with us. Nicki has a wealth of experience and knowledge not only in administration but also in third sector organisations. She has already hit the ground running and is familiarising herself with the charity and what we do. I am sure she will be an asset to Asbestos Action.

We would like to welcome 2 new Directors, Beth Robinson and Iain Kellie.
Future
As you can see there has been a lot happening at the charity. We are now coming into a period of redeveloping and growing Asbestos Action to meet the needs of those who have asked and will ask for our support.
Asbestos Action is a unique charity with a big heart, we are in a process of change and are looking forward to the challenges ahead. We will keep you updated and will endeavor to introduce you to the new members of the team as they come onboard.
